Surface treatment & finishing

Anodizing, pickling and passivation, hot-dip galvanizing and powder coating

Are you looking for a beautiful finish and optimal protection of your steel, Stainless Steel or aluminium panels? We have different types of aesthetic surface treatments and finishes. Each type has a different look or method.

Surface treatment & finishing

Take a look at our different surface treatments and finishes below:

Anodizing

What is the anodisation of aluminium panels?

Electrochemical treatment creates a matt oxide layer on the panels. This makes the panel harder, more wear-resistant, electrically insulating and protects against corrosion. This can be done with a natural or coloured finish.

Pickling and passivation

What is pickling and passivation of Stainless steel and aluminium panels, gratings and expanded metal?

Pickling involves removing a thin surface layer with a pickling agent. After cleaning and treatment with a commonly used oxidizing agent, a corrosion-resistant top layer is created. This gives the panel a matt grey appearance and also removes the 'blueing' of the material around welds.

Hot-dip galvanizing

What is hot-dip galvanizing?

Metal panels are first thoroughly cleaned. After which they are immersed in a zinc bath, which causes the zinc to bond with the steel, creating an unbreakable hard, wear- and impact-resistant layer. This layer provides lasting protection against corrosion and withstands mechanical intensive loading well.

Powder coating

What is powder coating?

Powder coating is an electrostatic process that uses a spray gun to apply powder to the panel, after which it is heated in an oven. The powder melts to an even coating and, once cured, forms a beautiful protective and, above all, durable coating. This can be done in any RAL color of your choice.

Duplex, the best combination

What is duplex?

Powder coating in combination with galvanization (Duplex) is the most durable protection against corrosion and complies with NEN 5254, EN 15773 and Qualitsteelcoat. The Duplex system gives panels a perfect, durable coating and at the same time an attractive appearance. This coating is elastic, wear-, impact- and shockekwerken-resistant, resistant to chemical corrosion and extremely suitable for applications with an increased risk of mechanical damage such as in public spaces, partitions and the like. This can be done in any RAL color of your choice.
